Our network web site is now up and running. Terry has done a marvellous job organising it. The address is sskn.uniformnz.com
Two of our members are tying the knot today, Mike Larsen and Adele Corson.
Congratulations from all of us and we hope you have a great day.
Our committee members are as follows:
Matt Sillars: advise on kayaks and associated equipment [email protected]
Terry Macnamara: network website [email protected]
Belinda Mulvany: social and evening meetings [email protected]
Stanley Mulvany: chairperson/secretary and contact person [email protected]
Mark Aplin: skills coordinator until June [email protected]
Kevin Pasco: skills organiser after Mark leaves [email protected]
There will be a weekend trip about mid February and Kevin Pasco is to
organise this. The date will be advised soon. Kevin was thinking about
having this on Lake Monowai.
I will be away for several weeks from Waitangi weekend guiding in
Fiordland and hope in March to take a weekend trip.
I have had recent communications with a Scottish adventurer called James Baxter who is visiting our region soon. He is taking a folding kayak with a sailing rig. He will be staying with us and if anyone would like to check it out let me know.
Lastly it has been suggested we post a list of members and their addresses on our web site to be accessible by password only to network members. How do members feel about this? Before I do this I will need permission from every member to be included on the web site list. Please also tell me what contact address you want. I would suggest your email address and your home phone
number.
